I must write like my life depends on it. It kind of does. I mean, how else will I get to where I need to be. I feel and believe writing is one of the avenues I must take.
What is your avenue?
What is that thing that you do so well that you often overlook it and shoot it down as nothing.
Is it singing?
Can you throw down in the kitchen?
Balancing equations in chemistry is an art form for you?
Can you code and design a website?
These things are often referred to as our gifts/talents. And God has given everyone something to excel at. So no need to hate on Beyoncé because your ass can’t sing or prance on the stage in a Versace bodysuit. Your gift could be one of administration. You can probably run the hell out of a company….in a good way, of course.
See often, we are so focused on other people’s lives and what they have and how they do things. We may not be able to do something as well as them. That’s why it is so important to examine our life. Stay on our own road. And dare to be different. Take the road less traveled. It can be a difficult road, yet rewarding. Many people do not take the road less traveled out of fear. No one likes to be alone. We crave security and the stability that we believe comes from following the crowd. But too many of us are sitting on our talents, dreams and aspirations because we believe deep down that we can’t do it.
“We are not smart enough, we don’t have enough money etc are the many excuses we give.” Because fear overwhelms the majority of us from action. It’s a tough pill to swallow to get to the end of our life and realize that maybe if you had pursued your goals, you actually would have accomplished them. This life is yours and it’s what you make of it. You are solely responsible.
