Carpe Diem-Seize The Day

Greetings all!

Carpe Diem

I just wanted to write a quick little note about the phrase.

Carpe Diem means to seize the day.  As in right now….at this very moment.  Not tomorrow, not when you get everything in order, not when (insert excuses for why you can’t seize the damn day).  This moment is all we have ladies.  This very moment.  No one promised us tomorrow.  Of course we plan on it and take for granted that it will come, but guess what?  For each and every one of us one day, tomorrow will not come.  That is why it is important for us to press on with our dreams, loving our family and being the best possible version of ourselves that we can be, right now.  We can’t afford to wait until we get everything in order, for our time is now.  Now is the time to do what is on our hearts to do.  Your dreams are waiting for you to take the first step.  Nothing will fall out of the sky.  You don’t have to pray on it.  Like them annoying Christian Mingle commercials says “God is waiting on you” lol.  God is waiting on you to take advantage of the moment He has given you and blessed you with.  Our time is a gift because one day time will be up.

We women have soooo many dreams on our hearts and we are just living day to day not even doing the simplest things to get to our dreams.  Every little bit counts.  I would like to go a little bit deeper by saying we can seize the day by seizing the moment.  We can seize the moment by doing little things that places us in the present moment.  Many people are never really in the present moment.  Either we are grieving over the past or worrying about the future.  The only time we have is now.  Seize it. Carpe diem, MUAH!

My name is Robinette and I love cupcakes, cakes, and donuts! I am a follower of Christ, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. I believe my life’s purpose is to empower women by inspiring them to rise to optimal living, hence the blog. I believe that I am already a success because I am following my dreams and on track to my life’s purpose and what to see other women do the same. I will share my life’s lessons and the wisdom I have gained from it using my signature humor…Ok I’m not that funny.
  • Yes! I love this and needed to hear this as I am at a crossroads in my life. All we have is today and God has already told us that we should not worry about tomorrow as it has it own worries.

    YES and THANK YOU!
